Poimi is an on-device iPhone and iPad app for hand-picking your photos into an album in Apple Photos. It does not run ads, does not use third-party analytics, and does not upload your photos. The publisher and data controller is Valtteri Luoma (contact: valtteri.e.luoma@gmail.com).

The short version

Poimi processes your photos entirely on your device. It does not upload, transmit, or store your photos anywhere. There is no account and no tracking. Poimi is free, with no purchases — so there is no payment data.

What Poimi accesses

Poimi requests Full Access to your photo library — required so it can read a whole date range, remember your selections across sessions, and write the finished album back (Apple’s Limited Access / Selected Photos cannot do these). Poimi does not request location permission; it reads the GPS coordinate already embedded in a photo when one is present.

What is stored, and where

Only on your device: the identifiers of the photos you picked, your album settings (name, date range, target, exclusions), and a local cache of place names. Poimi never stores the image or video files themselves.

Network use — the one exception

To label trips and places, Poimi sends a photo’s coordinate to Apple’s reverse-geocoding service to get back a human place name. This uses Apple’s service under Apple’s terms; Poimi runs no server of its own and keeps no coordinate log. Resulting names are cached locally.

No third parties

No advertising, analytics, or tracking SDKs; no data is sold or shared. If you opt in to sharing diagnostics with developers in iOS Settings, Apple may provide aggregate, anonymized crash and usage reports via App Store Connect — Poimi collects nothing else.

Your control and deletion

Deleting an album inside Poimi removes only Poimi’s record of it; your real photos are untouched.
Uninstalling the app removes all of Poimi’s local data.
An exported album is a normal Photos album you manage in Photos.
